CHILMARK SCHOOL
RENOVATIONS

Keenan + Kenny Architects worked with the Town of Chilmark and the Martha's Vineyard Public Schools on the renovations and energy upgrades to the Chilmark School.  The existing forced hot air systems were completely removed and replaced with new air source heat pumps moving closer to the Towns and School Departments goals for going fossil free.  The project retained and repaired the existing radiant baseboard heating system as a back-up should the need arise.  Included in this renovation was upgrading the insulation in the attics, creating better access to the new equipment and adding energy recovery ventilators.  The controls for the HVAC system were also upgraded.
